Natural Born Leaders?

I was talking with someone the other day and they said to me: "you can do the kind of work you do because you are a natural born leader."

While I might take this praise as a compliment, and in a certain sense I do, it's just not true.

When I was a kid in kindergarten, I spent the first semester of the year in the corner of the classroom all day, building fortresses of wooden blocks around myself because I was so sensitive to the other kids and couldn't handle the simplest social interactions.

I was essentially on the autism spectrum with pretty severe ADHD, and every schoolteacher I ever had beginning that kindergarten year and continuing throughout high school strongly encouraged my parents to put me on Ritalin.

Growing up, I had almost no friends, lived in a dream world, and was so disconnected from my body and the physical world that if you put me on a sports team I would just stand in the field gazing into the sky until the ball hit me in the head.

I had zero percent self-confidence and refused to talk to girls I was interested in until I was almost done with high school. I was also extremely self-absorbed and wasn't really a nice person to be around because I cared nothing for anyone else.

This is NOT the profile of a natural born leader.

So what the heck happened to me?

I became driven and passionate about healing. Period. I've written about this before, how something woke up inside me at age 11 when I had medical hypnosis. I realized somehow that holistic healing was why I had been born, and I felt like I could suddenly feel my body for the first time. I had a purpose which I didn't previously know existed.

This propelled me forward to learn everything I could about healing over the next 14 years, devoting myself to spiritual studies and practices almost full time beginning at age 19 when I was in college.

This journey evolved and I slowly healed myself into a leader. Yes. Through healing I was able to reveal the natural qualities of leadership and all that is involved in helping others live their highest purpose as well.

Upon finding the Modern Mystery School, everything that I'd always been seeking was all under one roof, and in a lineage unlike anything else I'd found. I knew my life would change the first day I had my life activation session.

Walking my path using this set of tools has allowed me to open to my highest potential, while giving me a system which, if followed, reliably does the same for everyone who carries this work forward in their lives.
